Barat planning guide
The Baraat is the main wedding day for the bride's family. Timings, the caterer and the rukhsati all need someone in charge.
Before the day
Confirm the final headcount with the caterer, share the seating plan with the hall manager, and give each vendor one contact person and a printed run-sheet.
On the day
- Bride's makeup and dressing (start early)
- Baraat arrives with dhol and phool
- Doodh pilai and joota chupai
- Couple on stage for photos
- Dinner
- Rukhsati
- Hall cleared and final payments settled
Who does what
Give one cousin the stage, one the food line, and one the payments envelope. Write their names on the run-sheet so vendors know who to ask.
